All the production for the Apricots comes from Imathia and the harvest is done by hand, in order to avoid blows.

The date of harvest is very important for the quality of the Apricot. The right taste and aroma never develop in an apricot fruit that has been picked too early.

At ELITA™ we select and package excellent quality delicious and luscious Apricots that arrive daily in every corner of Greece and abroad, winning over every consumer.

Apricots are placed and transported in low crates to prevent cracking and tearing.

Apricots are rich in vitamins A, C and E, which are essential for eye health and can also enhance skin health, as vitamin C protects against UV damage and helps build of collagen, a protein that gives the skin strength and elasticity.

High in water, apricots can help regulate blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate and joint health.

Ripe apricots can be stored in the refrigerator, in a plastic bag or container, for about a week, but it is best to eat them within 2-3 days. If you want them to mature, you can place them in a paper bag on the kitchen counter for 2-3 days.

Apricots belong to the rose family and are related to the peach. It is said that Alexander the Great brought the first apricots to Greece.
