Consumer tips
Vitamin C in Plums is responsible for repairing cells, supporting the immune system and slowing down aging. In addition, an average fresh plum contains 113 mg of potassium, which helps reduce the risk of stroke.
Despite their fairly high carbohydrate content, plums do not appear to cause a significant increase in blood sugar levels after consumption, which can be attributed to the fiber they contain.
Unripe plums should be stored in a paper bag on the kitchen counter for a few days. If ripe, plums should be refrigerated in an open plastic bag for 2-4 weeks. It is recommended that the refrigerator does not contain strong odors, as plums tend to absorb the smell of the refrigerator after a few days.
